| Pre-load Colosseum Sounds | ||
|---|---|---|
| Click here to download all the Colosseum sounds for the original 81 characters, and unzip into your palace folder's /Media/Balamb Garden/Sounds folder (which was automatically created after your first connect to BG or its tutorial). If you can't open .zip files, get a free copy of Winzip at www.winzip.com. | ||
| Pre-load Colosseum Props | ||
| The Colosseum prop bag replaces your existing prop bag, so if you have your own props saved that you want to keep, use the (much slower) 'Get all props' link in the Colosseum loader to pre-load. But if you're ready to start fresh, just make sure Palace is closed, then click here and unzip into your main palace folder (replacing the palace.prp there already), then you can re-open Palace. If you've unzipped both these zips to their proper place, then the props & sounds for the original 81 characters should now be instantly seen & heard, saving you thousands of (laggy and awkward) in-battle loads; the ones for the newer characters will pre-load as they enter the arena (assuming you're in the room to see it at the time). If you miss anything though, animations will simply load the first time you see them performed and you'll see/hear it correctly the next time. Palace Pallete | The Palace Palette is required to import pics into avatars correctly. Download the palette and unzip, and you can load it onto the avatar you're importing. | If you use Paint Shop Pro, go to Colors- Load Palette, and select the palace.pal. If you use Adobe Photoshop, go to Image- Mode- Indexed Color, select Custom then Load to select the palace.pal and hit OK. Dithering looks best in either case. These instructions may vary slightly for mac users. If you need any info about creating avatars, see the Palace Tutorial room at Balamb Garden. |
